CKES Enrollment

Welcome To Kindergarten

Children must be 5 years of age on or before November 1, 2012 to enter Kindergarten.  This is an age-eligibility change from previous years.

Kindergarten enrollment for the upcoming 2012-13 school year will be held from January 17 through February 15, 2012 for children residing within our school district boundaries at their resident school.

Please read and complete the 2012-2013 Kindergarten Enrollment Forms and the   Household Information Form  (to be complete by families new to the district.)  Welcome letters from school principals and important dates are found in the Kindergarten Enrollment Forms Paragraph .  Please contact Educational Services 925-552-5071 if you have any questions regarding enrollment.  The timeline for enrollment is listed below.

January 17-February 15, 2012 Sibling Priority

Resident parents of entering kindergartners who have a child currently in grades K-5 at the school of residence or is being diverted will go directly to the resident school with completed enrollment forms and proof of residency.

February 1-15, 2012  All Others

Resident parents of entering Kindergartners who do not have a child currently in grades K-5 will go directly to the resident school with proof of residency, Household Information Form and completed Enrollment Forms.

Enrollment for 2012-2013

Starting March 1, new familes may enroll their children for the upcoming school year at their resident school. Once current proof of residency is verified and enrollment forms are submitted, children will be placed on an enrollment list for the upcoming school year. Enrollment forms will be accepted on or after the closing date or effective date of rental agreement for new families moving into the district.

Eligibility for admission requirements:

  • The child must be five years of age on or before November 1, 2012.

  • At the time of kindergarten enrollment, an original certified copy of the birth certificate, passport, or
    baptismal record must
be used to verify the student's birth date.

  • It is required by California State law that all students have complete records of immunizations prior to
entering kindergarten. Children will not be admitted to a classroom in the fall unless the immunizations
are up-to-date. Please provide current immunization records at time of enrollment. Any missing immunizations
from the record will need to be given and proof provided to the school before the start of school.

  • The San Ramon Valley Unified School District requires a child to have a physical examination prior to entering
kindergarten. At the time of kindergarten enrollment, parents are asked to provide the school with the
scheduled appointment date for the physical exam. Children will not be admitted to a classroom in the fall
unless the physical exam has been completed. Examination between March and the start of school meets
both the K and 1st grade examination request.

Proof of residence is required at the time of enrollment and must be verified by one item from each category below:

  1. Current picture ID of parent/guardian (original): Driver’s license, CA issued ID, passport, military ID, and
