CCLF Funding Facts

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District receives the second lowest funding for students in the state ($4,891) compared to, for example, Dublin ($5,909), Pleasanton ($5,597) and Berkeley ($5,215). In addition, as you know, spending on California school districts is well below the national average.

Annually, CCLF will be seeking voluntary contributions from each family of $350 (approximately $1.94 per family per day) to support the educational enhancements that have led Coyote Creek School to be recognized as a California Distinguished School .

CCLF continues to fund reading and writing programs (The New York Reading and Writing Project) that are only provided at Coyote Creek School . Our school site has been a mentor for other District school sites in these programs.

Your donations will continue to allow Coyote Creek to raise curriculum levels being offered. This year, your donations will fund the following activities:

  • 15 hours per week for Library Coordinator
  • 30 hours per week for Computer Instructor
  • 24 hours per week for Curriculum Support Teacher
  • 19 hours per week for reading support and para-educators
  • Grade level para educators, K-5
  • 8 hours per week for math support para-educator
  • 10 hours per week for combination class para-educator
  • Replace all computers in the computer lab
  • Provide Kindergarten music appreciation
  • Purchase media software support
  • Software support for media center

Our goal is to come together as a community and contend with the complexities of the budget crisis that faces our School. By working together we will be able to maintain and enhance the educational programs that are provided to all children at Coyote Creek School .

If you would like additional information on how to make a donation or how to become involved in CCLF, please do not hesitate to contact any one of the CCLF Board members or officers.
