Holly Colson

I am very excited to be at Coyote Creek! I've previously taught 1st through 4th grades in South Los Angeles and Los Lunas, New Mexico. I've also taught English in Campeche, Mexico. I love teaching, learning, supporting teachers in reading and writing, and working with students and families.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, yoga, salsa and ballroom dancing, and traveling.

I feel fortunate to be at such a great school!

Peggy Cox

I grew up in Walnut Creek and now I live there with my husband and our two sons. I received my BA in Human Development and minored in speech and hearing sciences at Washington State University. Shortly after graduating, I went back to school to get my CA teaching credential at Chapman University. My first three years of teaching were spent in Pittsburg, CA where I taught first grade. This is my seventh year here at Coyote Creek teaching second grade.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends.  I also enjoy running, traveling, skiing, reading, and cooking.

I am so proud to be a member of this dynamic staff here at Coyote Creek. I am passionate about educating children and strive to have a classroom that is a safe and successful environment.

Jodie Dowling

Welcome to Room 2, second grade!  My name is Jodie Dowling and I am fortunate to be a part of the dynamic Coyote Creek community.  I am a native of the Los Angeles area. At a young age I knew I had a passion for learning and education and decided to pursue a career in teaching.

In 1996, I received my BA and teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University.  I began my teaching career working for San Leandro Unified School District as a first grade teacher.    I left teaching full time to stay home and raise my children.  During this time I taught enrichment classes to children through the Danville Community Center. In 2009 I began teaching part time as a substitute teacher for SRVUSD.  I joined the coyote team in 2010 teaching second grade.

In my free time I love to play tennis, run, ski, read, and spend time with my family. I currently live in Danville with my husband, son (14), and daughter (11).   I look forward to teaching another year of second grade here at Coyote Creek!

Danielle Eiben

As a first year teacher and a resident of San Ramon I am extremely excited and proud to be part of the Coyote Creek Pack!

I am thrilled to finally be embarking on this journey. I received my undergrad at Chico State in Child Development. I spent the last 2 years at Chapman University earning my teaching credential and Masters in Education. While working on my education I was a substitute teacher for this district. I am been fortunate to meet many wonderful educators that have inspired me along the way. I truly enjoy the experience of teaching and learning with children and look forward to a wonderful year in second grade.

Jana Johnson

I am proud and thrilled to be a part of the stellar Coyote Creek community! My husband, two sons, and I have been living in San Ramon since 1993. Previous to that we lived in the Seattle area. I grew up in North Central Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison as an undergraduate and as a graduate student. The University of San Francisco is where I received my teaching credential.

My career path includes being a Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and working with the homeless as a Client Advocate in Downtown Seattle. I have also worked at the corporate offices of a cellular telephone company in public affairs/relations. Shortly after our first son was born I became a stay-at-home mom.

I have been teaching in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District for since 2000. I love teaching, because I love learning. To learn is to grow. One characteristic of life in a living organism is growth. Therefore, if a person is not learning/growing, that person is not fully ALIVE! Learning is integral to living a full life.

How fortunate I am to learn, grow, and be alive with my students in this supportive Coyote Creek community every day!

Melanie Osicki

I am so happy to be teaching at Coyote Creek Elementary.  I feel honored to be part of such a wonderful learning community.  I received my Bachelors in Sociology, Teaching Credential, and Masters in Education from UC Santa Barbara.  I grew up in the Bay Area and now live in Pleasant Hill with my husband, our son Owen, and our dog Kolby.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, read books, go to the movies, and do many outdoor activities.  My favorite things about teaching is seeing children learn and grow throughout the year.  I look forward to working with you!

Beckie Silverwood

I grew up in the San Ramon School District. I received my undergrad from Chico State and my credential from Chapman University.

I love interacting with children everyday. Their zest for learning makes my job exciting. I enjoy going to work and teaching our future leaders.

I look forward to helping my students become responsible and independent children who love learning.

Nancy Wilson

I am a Native to the Bay Area. I graduated with from Cal, with my degree in English, and received my teaching credential from St. Mary’s College. I live in San Ramon with my husband and two children.

This is my fourth year at Coyote Creek School. Prior to this, I both lived and taught school in Alameda. After growing up in this area, I felt a need to leave the fog and return to the sunshine.

Working with children, on a daily basis, is both a passion and a privilege. I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing community and doing a job I love.
